ICU has been named "The Best Asset Management Company in Central and Eastern Europe" and has won “High Quality of Corporate Governance” award according to the results of a survey by renowned international publication Institutional Investor.
Makar Paseniuk, co-founder of ICU, commented:
“These awards attest to our continued success in delivering creative, world-class solutions to our clients across the product spectrum. Our flagship fund, CIS Opportunity Fund, for example, is considered as one of the leading funds in the region and last year the fund saw returns of 31.6%.“
Grigoriy Ovcharenko, Head of Asset Management at ICU, commented:
“We are incredibly proud of the recognition; our team has worked hard to build products like the “Dynasty” fund which has retained the top spot among Ukrainian open pension funds for seven years running. Despite the risk-averse, reliable and conservative investment strategy, we aim to provide our clients with one of the best returns on the Ukrainian pension fund market.”
Olyana Gordiyenko, ICU's corporate governance advisor, said:
“We are honored that the level and quality of the corporate governance in our Group is so highly recognized, especially when this recognition comes from our colleagues/competitors. Quality decision-making and transparency of our corporate governance framework is an undeniable proof of ICU Group’s maturity. It gives us an obvious head start in the eyes of our clients, especially in the region of our focus, where the level of corporate governance is not yet that high in general.”
The winners of the International Investor Awards are chosen by the readers of the magazine - institutional investors, representatives of family offices, global banks and asset managers. The full list of winners of the award in 2020 can be found on the website of the publication.
This year Global Banking & Finance Review, which covers the financial markets of 150 countries from different regions, also recognized ICU's success in asset management. The group received an award from the publication in the “Best Asset Management Company in Ukraine” category. In addition, ICU also took nominations in "Best Broker" and "Company with Best Corporate Social Responsibility" categories.
